Back to Milan and a transfer to the train to Santa Margherita. We arrived in the early afternoon and took a bus from the station to our hotel- The Best Western Regina Elena-across the promenade from the beach. There are 2 swimming options-a roof top pool and the hotel beach – lined with umbrellas, cabanas and lounge chairs-€10 for the day. Or you can use the beach and sit/lie on the sand for free. The ocean was warm and clean – added to my bucket list of oceans I have swam in.
