Diane came hone from work by 5:30 and we headed out to take the tram to Den Hague city centre. This was to be a dry run for my solo day on Wednesday. The city centre is beautiful with most streets pedestrian only. French style restaurants and bistros line the tiny cobbled streets and we window shopped the current styles and trends. It is much like Vancouver, expensive, exclusive stores as well as trendy, less expensive chains. We went for dinner in a tiny but amazing restaurant. I had a small baked bun with artichoke on a bed of salad greens and cheese. I also ordered a gourmet salad with goat cheese, apple, nuts, chicory. We topped it off with a bottle of great Bordeaux wine

We walked a lot as I tried to burn into my brain how to get back there on my own the next day

Sleep came easily until the middle of the night phone calls from Canada. Note to self- use the “do not disturb” feature.
Sounds great Heather – nice to walk around with someone who can show you cool places to eat etc. I guess maybe you are heading to Amsterdam tomorrow? Enjoy your day.
Have been dealing with wood from Sheila and Bill’s – Bill chainsawing, Sheila, Jim, Daniel and I loading/unloading/stacking the wood. Today we started splitting (rented a log splitter👍), and stacking it all. I’m exhausted.
