End of the Holiday Jitters

I wanted to stay 2 nights in Cohb but our driver was starting to stress over getting back to Dublin on time for our flight. No amount of convincing could reassure him so we hit the road for Waterford. Fortunately, the roundabout redirects worked in our favour, otherwise we would have ended up doing the freeway directly to Dublin.

Had lunch in Waterford – not much to see there.

We booked a great BandB in Wexford and walked along the waterfront streets looking for a place to eat.

The blog has finally caught up with real time. It is now 6:30AM and I finally have everything charged and pictures downloaded. Only took 2 weeks to get organized. Maybe I will have learned how to use the camera by the next trip.

The drive up the coast from Wexford was a beautiful amble along the seaside. We came across a real thatched cottage and later a massive wind farm. Certainly the right place for it.

Two nights back in Dublin

Another last minute booking. We wanted to be near the airport so we booked an apartment in the student community of Ballymun. The apartment had 2 large bedrooms and a loft with a kitchen including a dishwasher and washing machine. It was an amazing design but like many of the places we stayed, there were a lot of things that needed to be fixed. Like a bathtub tap that wouldn’t shut off.

You could tell there was an IKEA in the area.
